Having our pets around can help us relax, focusing on the steady breathing of a sleeping pet can help you at times when our minds refuse to switch off.
We live in a society that is filled with crime. Having your dog in bed with you can give you a sense of security. Dogs left to sleep outside are no threat to potential criminals, as sadly, they can be poisoned. Letting your dog sleep with you is a safer option. A dog’s hearing is very good and they will immediately alert you when someone is trying to get into your property.
Research has shown that oxytocin is released in our brains when touching our pets. This hormone is associated with feelings of closeness and calm. Having our pets with us simply makes us happy.

A study has found that pets can disturbed your sleep making it unhealthy. Lack of sleep affects concentration, memory and health.
It is not recommended for your pets to sleep with you if you have allergies or asthma as this can make it worst. Intimacy when sharing your bed with a human partner can become a problem as your pet will try and snuggle between the two of you.

Do regular de-worming and check them for ticks and fleas. You don’t want to end up with fleas all over your bed
